TUTORING SERVICES

Tangerine Tutoring LLC provides supplemental educational support for students currently enrolled in school. Tutoring reinforces classroom instruction by assisting students with homework, assignments, studying, test preparation, and subject-specific questions.

Tutoring is not a substitute for classroom instruction. The student's teacher or instructor remains the primary source of instruction, curriculum, and course material(s).

SESSION INFORMATION

Unless otherwise agreed upon, all tutoring sessions are sixty (60) minutes in length.

Virtual Sessions

• Conducted via Google Meet.

• A meeting link will be emailed after the appointment has been confirmed.

In-Person Sessions

• Conducted at a mutually agreed-upon public location.

Students are responsible for attending their scheduled tutoring sessions and arriving on time; they are expected to be prepared with any necessary materials, assignments, textbooks, notes, calculators, or questions. Tangerine Tutoring LLC and its tutors are not responsible for reminding students about scheduled appointments or contacting students who miss a session.

RATES AND PACKAGES

1.       Single Sessions, Weekend Sessions, & Add-ons

• $60 per hour.

• One scheduled tutoring session. ‍

• Payment is due at the time of each scheduled appointment

2.       Four (4) or More Hours

• ‍$50 per hour - $200-$350 total (for 4-7 hours).

• Four (4) or more prepaid tutoring sessions.

• Payment is due at the first session.

• Sessions are deducted from the prepaid balance as they are completed.

‍ ‍3.       Eight (8) or More Hours

• $45 per hour - minimum $360 total (for 8 hours).

• Eight (8) or more prepaid tutoring sessions.

• Payment is due at the first session.

• Sessions are deducted from the prepaid balance as they are completed.

‍‍Package pricing requires:

• Payment in full before services begin.

• Scheduling all sessions in advance.

PAYMENTS

Virtual tutoring sessions are invoiced electronically.

In-person tutoring may be paid by: ‍

• Cash

• Check, made payable to Tangerine Tutoring LLC

• Online invoice

Payment is due at the time of the scheduled appointment for single sessions and at the first scheduled appointment for prepaid packages.

‍Accounts with outstanding balances must be paid before additional tutoring sessions may be scheduled.

Tangerine Tutoring does not carry prepayments across calendar years or school years.

SCHEDULING ‍

Recurring tutoring appointments will take place at the agreed-upon day and time unless otherwise arranged.‍ ‍

Any changes to scheduled appointments—including cancellations, reschedules, or time changes—must be communicated directly to Tangerine Tutoring LLC as soon as possible; individual tutors cannot approve cancellations, reschedules, billing adjustments, or schedule changes on behalf of Tangerine Tutoring LLC.

Tangerine Tutoring LLC does not automatically follow individual school calendars.

If a student's school is closed due to holidays, conferences, breaks, weather, or other scheduled events, tutoring sessions will still occur unless canceled according to the cancellation policy.

If the tutor must cancel or reschedule a session, reasonable advance notice will be provided whenever possible. Missed tutoring time caused by the tutor will be made up during the same session, if feasible, or rescheduled at no additional cost.

CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

Students may cancel or reschedule an appointment by providing at least 24 hours' notice. Appointments canceled, rescheduled, or missed with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a $25 cancellation fee.

All cancellations, rescheduling requests, and scheduling changes must be made directly through Tangerine Tutoring LLC. Students and parents should not contact individual tutors to cancel or reschedule appointments, as tutors are not authorized to modify the tutoring schedule.

Students receiving recurring tutoring are allowed one (1) cancellation or reschedule per calendar month.

• If the canceled session is not rescheduled and completed within the same calendar month, the session is forfeited and deducted from the student's prepaid package.

• Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to both the $25 cancellation fee and forfeiture of the tutoring session if it is not made up within the same month.

• Two (2) or more cancellations or reschedules within the same month may result in the loss of the student's recurring tutoring time slot. The student may request placement on a waiting list for future availability.

‍Students arriving more than fifteen (15) minutes late without prior communication will be considered a no-show.

‍Late arrivals do not extend the scheduled appointment time, and the full session fee (or package deduction) will still apply.

REFUNDS

If tutoring services are discontinued after payment has been submitted, unused tutoring time will be refunded after recalculating completed sessions at the applicable rate.

For example:

• An 8-hour package costs $360 ($45/hour).

• If tutoring ends after 4 sessions, those sessions will be recalculated at the 4-hour package rate of $50/hour.

• Four completed sessions equal $200.

• The remaining refund would be $160.

Cancellation fees or other outstanding balances will be deducted from any refund.

‍NO GUARANTEE OF ACADEMIC OUTCOMES

Tangerine Tutoring LLC makes no guarantee regarding grades, test scores, academic performance, admission to educational programs, or successful completion of any course or examination.

Academic success depends on numerous factors beyond tutoring, including student attendance, effort, study habits, completion of assignments, classroom instruction, prior knowledge, and testing conditions.

By enrolling in tutoring services, the student and/or parent or guardian acknowledges that tutoring is intended as supplemental academic support and that no specific educational outcome is promised or guaranteed.

‍AGREEMENT

By scheduling tutoring services with Tangerine Tutoring LLC, the student and/or parent or guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Policies and Terms & Conditions.
